I originally discovered Second Line Frames through sub-studio design blog, a few weeks ago. The name is derived from a New Orleans tradition called The Second Line, which is a colorful parade that follows funeral processions, turning tragedy into a celebration of rebirth. What a great concept!
Second Line Frames are built from salvaged wood siding that was destroyed in Hurricane Katrina, and a portion of each sale goes to benefit affected neighborhoods in New Orleans.
Another company of interest is Rebirth Frames.
